MY REAL CxSI CASES
Crash Scene Investigations

These are cases in which I was the investigator, who evaluated the evidence, wrote a report for the plaintiff’s lawyer, and testified in court, if the matter wasn’t settled sooner.

BACK WINDOWS Pick up trucks and big trucks have these flat pieces of glass. Stuff should not come smashing through.

CRUSHED   The seatbelt did it to the passenger in a cheap, pretty Buick. A  case that might have triggered class action. Took ten years to give up.

FUNNY BUCKLES in Geo Prizm of mixed nationality. The courtroom expose of cheating was kind of funny.

PRONGS A stab in the back of the head by a Jeep. A case about a weird design defect we won and then lost on a strange appeal.

RUFUS KING  Blazer door opened during a simple crash. I knew what the defect was, but GM was succesful in stalling production of documents.

SILKY Cavalier shoulder belt. This is about the classic problem.

SLAM DUNK  Saab retractor problem was among the easy things. Technically it was a good, easy case with multiple provable defects. Courtroom maneuvering spoiled it all.

SNOW WHITE Potato chip truck. Here is one with little CSI engineering aspect but lots of courtroom drama.

WHO WAS DRIVING I said it didn't matter. Why waste the money when families of both teen age boys were insured the same company.
